About us
The Growing Garden is a place where children can find safety, knowledge, love, and support outside of the home throughout their growing years. Our center is founded on the principles of honesty, respect, responsibility, kindness, and gratefulness. Growing up in the local community, our staff sees a need for a place where children can be children. A place where they can find solace and fun from the chaos of the world. The creation of a safe haven where the imagination can grow wild and friendships can be built is our primary goal. We help our children to set goals and attain them through support and fun.
Our family atmosphere is a unique element that can only be found at The Growing Garden. Customers and community members often hear our staff members speak about "our kids". We see all of our little customers as more than just a job - they are a member of our family. Our staff is in tune to the thoughts and emotions of all our kids. Each staff member plays a duel role as both teacher and counselor. We are here to support and teach our children to become productive community members for the future.

Ms. Heather, Owner/Director
I came to create this facility through many years of working with children in the local communities and gaining a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Education through Slippery Rock University. I also have an Infant/Toddler Mental Health Certification through Arcadia University. I have a wonderful family and group of friends who have been supportive in bringing this dream into reality. I hope that my extensive travel experiences, education, artistry, and passion to discover will inspire the youth of our community through the use of our facility. |
Ms. Anne, Assistant Group Supervisor
I am the youngest of five children, and I have a daughter of my own. I have grown up in the Tarentum community. I plan to further my education by gaining a degree that will extend my knowledge working with children. |
